It’s a question of leadership and that of integrity. While a few nations that have the power to fight global terrorism are either busy seizing neighboring lands or stifling the voice of the masses by billions and have ‘expansionist’ agendas of their own; there are nations that are serving not only as a ‘beacon of light’ but also as a bulwark against International terrorism (albeit with vested self-interest). If the benefits of a terror-free world cannot be localized, how fair is it that developing nations not deploy their meager resources to causes that can’t provide any immediate gratification? Or if not that, how justifiable would it be for us, as inhabitants of the same planet, to share a place in the world that we haven’t positively contributed to?
